The Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) is Arizona’s version of Medicaid. administered by AHCCCS. ALTCS provides long term care services to Arizona residents who meet financial and medical requirements, are elderly and/or physically disabled (E/PD), or developmentally disabled (DD). Members are first screened to meet financial eligibility criteria and then evaluated to determine if their medical needs qualify them for the program. Individuals qualifying for ALTCS have been identified as being at risk for institutionalization.
ALTCS provides in-home services which are intended to help your loved one remain in your own home. ALTCS also provides for nursing homes and assisted living services if your loved one cannot remain in their home safely.
